Physiotherapy
Paediatric Physiotherapy promotes the health and well being of children and young people, and enables them to obtain their maximum potential for physical development and function.
The school team comprises of Physiotherapists and a Physiotherapy Support worker. We work closely with families, carers, education staff, health professionals and the voluntary sector. Our approach is holistic and practical with an emphasis on input/therapy being part of routines and everyday life for the pupil and carried out by everyone involved with the child or young person.
Within Beatlie School our role is to assess the pupil and give advice and practical support re handling, positioning and activities through play or exercise. Where appropriate we implement, advise, and review equipment, which may include mobility aids and standing frames, to enhance the child's well being and access to education.
