World Book Day 2026

The pupils of Beatlie had fun celebrating World Book Day this year focusing on two books from this year’s selection – One Big Family and Chaos at the Chocolate Factory.

There were:

• Visits to the library for story time
• Story massage and individual story times
• Sensory exploration and art using chocolate
• Book hunts in the garden finding some of our other favourite stories hidden away
• Drama, imaginative play/dress up and sensory story time
• Making picnic foods and blankets
• Team games
• Milkshake and smoothie making

Of course we couldn’t read Peppa’s One Big family without spending some time jumping in muddy puddles too.
